Actually, counting works pretty well too.
Even if I limited myself to only taking out the worst of humanity, the bottom of the barrel, so to speak, I'm still a few billion rounds short, even assuming a 100% kill rate... which I'm pretty sure is impossible with a .50 MG anyway.
Nope, sadly the only solution is to win that contract tostore in my bunkerdecommission those 500 warheads... that should get me pretty close, and I can mop up any survivors with my small arms.
